Do any USB GPS units work?

Hi there,

I am getting a Herotab816 device on Monday which has the latest Tass custom firmware loaded on it.

I see this device as a bit of a 'toy'. It will be my introduction into the world of Android Tablets. I am familiar with Android from my HTC Desire phone.

I'm just wondering if it is possible to get any USB GPS devices to work on this tablet? In some of the specs I have read online it suggests that the USB host port supports GPS. It would be great if this were true.

I tried searching these forums for an answer but it won't let me search for GPS as a term (too short) so sorry if this has been asked before.

Thanks for any info. Looking forward to getting the tablet and contributing to these forums.

lsmod #looking for loaded pl2303.ko module;
after that an gps icon appears in the status bar.
